Privacy Policy

We collect only the personal information we need to fill your orders, run our business, and keep in touch with you if you ask us to. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Contact details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address
• Order details: what you bought, when, and how much you paid
• For fundraisers and wholesale: school or organization name and contact person
• Website data: basic information such as browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies

We do not see or store your full credit card number. Payments are handled by our secure payment processor Clover.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your orders
• To answer your questions and manage fundraiser and wholesale accounts
• To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them
• To improve our website and products

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our payment processor, shipping carriers, website host, accounting software (QuickBooks) and email marketing service (Mailchimp). Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Marketing emails

We follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We send marketing emails only to people who have given consent or with whom we have an existing business relationship. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working and to understand how visitors use the site. You can turn off cookies in your browser, but some features may not work.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and limit access to staff who need it. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email chat@kickasscaramels.com and we will respond within 30 days.
